I have these Linebargers that no one seems to know...Peter Linebarger (b.about 1818 in NC d.about 15 Dec 1871) married Mary Ann Brundrett (b.about 1823 in MO). They married 22 May 1845 in Independence County, Arkansas.
Peter Linebarger's siblings are: LaVinia(b.1822), Emmie or Emma(b.1824), and Martin(b.1820). I don't know his parents.
Mary Brundrett's father is James Brundrett (b.about 1797 in MO). I don't know her mother or siblings.
Peter and Mary Linebarger's children are Frank Desha, John R., Emily J., Sarah A., Rufus L., Albert Forney, Sidney S., Parlee Melinda, and Austin.
Frank Desha Linebarger (b.31 Aug 1859 d.15 Feb 1937) married Sarah Jane Teague (b.16 Sept 1870 d.2 Jan 1949). Their children are as follows: Hester Ann, Lola Parlee, infant girl, Jessie Fornie, Mattie Emley, Robert Slator, Noba Leah, William Franklin, Bessie May, John Douglas, Dorothia Mildred, and Sarah Linebarger.
Hester Ann Linebarger is my great grandmother.
I have birth dates on all these and some death dates. Many of these Linebargers are buried in Kyler Cemetery near Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas. There are still many more Linebargers buried there that no one in my family knows. Does anyone recognize any of these people at all? I am hoping to establish links to all you other Linebargers I keep reading about!
Beth Christiansen.

Lynn,
I have a Charlie Linebarger (b.about 1885) in Arkansas. He is the son of Sidney S. Linebarger (b. about 1857 in AR) and S.A.Conley (b.about 1861 in AR).
His siblings are as follows: Laurie (b. abt 1883), Jeffery (b.abt 1887), Albert "Bert" (b.abt 1889), Edward (b.abt 1891), and Clementine Linebarger (b.abt 1893) all in Arkansas.
I have no information on Charlie's wife or children.
Charlie's father (Sidney S. Linebarger) is the son of the Peter Linebarger and Mary A. Brundrett I spoke about previously.
Any luck?

Hello Beth, I saw your posting in FamilyHistory.com and I was very excited. I also see that my cousin has been answering you. I haven't seen her for about 35 years. Charlie was my grandfather. I am the oldest daughter, Jewell's daughter. My name is Linda Bodie. I have just gotten really interested in tracing my family history. I will report all that I know. Charlie Franklin had been married before he married my grandmother, Emma. His first wife died of tuberculosis. They had a daughter named Dovey (Dovie?) The children of Charlie and Emma are:Jewell Linebarger Self, Sept. 15, 1913, Neva Linebarger Ivy (Ivey?) born May 13, 1915 (deceased), Georgia Linebarger Spicer born March 30 , 1917, Fowler Linebarger born Sept 8, 1918, Anna Lee Linebarger ??(can't remember) born June 8, 1921 (deceased), Charles Linebarger, born Dec. 27, 1922 (deceased),and twins Bernard (deceased) and Verna born Dec. 12, 1926. All of these children were born before my grandfather's death, the result of a feud between the Moore's and the Linebarger's, except the twins, who were born seven months after. After Charlie died, Emma remarried Eugene Nolan and had two children Gene, born Nov. 30, 1933 and Joy Lynn born Feb. 6, 1936.
My e-mail address is bodiefrm@bellsouth.net. I am interested in any family history. Hope this helps, Linda

Gosh, I hope that I didn't put that Mr. Nolan's name was Gene. You are correct in saying it is Allie. Aunt Georgia has been corresponding with me some and I bet she has all the scoop on the Fowler's. I will e-mail you at your e-mail address and give you Aunt Georgia's phone number and address. I will send you all the info that I have on everybody in the Linebarger group. I am short on time right now. Love Linda
