"kentuckyprincess1" posted at the Sprinkles Message Board that her husband is the son of James D. Sprinkles and that James D. Sprinkles' mother was named Nona. She also mentioned that there was a Leroy Sprinkles in the family. She asked for more information and photos.
James D. Sprinkles is the son of Leroy Sprinkles (1906-1985) & Nona Thompson Sprinkles (1921-1991). I believe Nona was his 2nd of 4 wives.
Leroy Sprinkles was the son of William Daniel Sprinkles (1861-1931) & Alice Sue Naylor Sprinkles (1867-1960). You can see photos of William & Alice that I uploaded at:

William Daniel Sprinkles was the son of Andrew Sprinkle & Elender ("Ellen") Wright Sprinkle. Andrew died during the Civil War. Ellen married three more times and died in 1920.
Andrew was the son of Napoleon Bonaparte Sprinkle & Cynthia Fry. They were from VA. They separated/divorced around 1850 and Napoleon moved to Lincoln Co., KY. He married again and had a 2nd large family. He died about 1879. Cynthia died in VA in 1873.
Napoleon was the son of Jacob Sprinkle & Mary Sheltman. Jacob was born about 1785 and died between 1841-1850. He also married twice and had many children by each wife. He is somewhat "infamous" as he was charged (but acquitted) of counterfeiting silver dollars in 1841 in Lewis Co., KY.
Jacob was the son of Henry Sprenkle & his 1st wife, Catharina. Henry was from York Co., PA and moved to VA. He was born about 1741 and died about 1814.
Henry was the son of the immigrant ancestor, William (Wilhelm) Sprenkel (Sprengel, Sprenckel). He was a prosperous farmer. He died in 1772 in York Co., PA.
Nearly all people in this country with the surname Sprankle, Sprenkle, Sprinkle, Sprinkel, Sprinkles, etc. are related.
