Hello- I am looking for information on Louis (Leib?) Kram from Sambor. He left in 1904 and his wife Rebecca and their 5 children left in 1910 to join him in New York. I suspect no one related is left in the town now because the entire Jewish population was killed during the Nazi occupation. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

On JewishGen (www.jewishgen.org) I searched the JRI Poland database for the last name Kram in Sambor. I believe I may have gotten lucky; the following entries were listed for Leib Kram:
1890: Female infant born to Leib and Pessel Kram
1891: Male (Lipe) born to Leib and Pessel
1896: Markus David born to Leib and Riwe Blinder
1899: Sara Reisel born to Leib and Riwe
1901: Jakob born to Leib and Riwe
1893: Pessel passed away. Her given name was Blinder, and her parents were Markus and Chane.
1887: Leib married Pessel. His parents were Lipe Kram and Sara Reisel Dribig.

It appears that Leib had a brother named Samuel who married Miriam Mindel Nanow. He was born in 1864.

1895: Sara Kram (Leib's mother) passed away. Her parents were Leiba and Bella Chana.

1874: Lipe Kram passed away

Not sure if this is the same Kram family you are after. Hope it helps...

If you search ancestry.com for Leib Kram arrival date 1 September 1903 you will find his ship manifest.

Thank you very much for responding. I don't think this is the family I am looking for since Louis (Leib?) Kram was married to a woman named Rebecca. Their children Sara, Dawid, Chaje, Jacob and Benjamin were born in Sambor and emigrated to the U.S. in 1910, 6 years after their father. Does anyone have any personal knowledge of this family? Thank you.
