I am looking for information on my gggpa John Wesley Rose, who was the captain of this ship according to a letter written by my late ggpa Patrick John Rose. We believe the ship was sunk around 1917 and took my gggpa and gggma down with it. I know the ship sailed from Cork Ireland, and was in New York Harbor on January 31st, 1872; the date Patrick was born. Patrick and sister Amy were raised in Cork and on ship in the Atlantic. According to the letter, Patrick's mother was educated in a convent in Ireland, and John Wesley was born in Dublin. I would like to find out who the mother was so I can trace back her line, and John Wesley's. Can anyone help me with a crew list?
