Stewart NC->TN->TX

Surnames: Stewart McIntire Shields
I have not been looking at the Stewart family long, however, what I have seen is that there are quite a few Stewart men who ended up in Bowie County Texas with the middle name of Franklin. I have some information on a John Franklin Stewart who married Antonia Jane McIntire in, I believe Tennessee. Is there any information out there already that would tie these various men together? Or does anyone have info on where this family of Stewart's came from in Tennessee? The 1880 census shows NC as the birth of both of John's parents.

Thanks.

I do not know what area in Tennessee that the Stewart's I am researching are from. The names you gave are not in the transcript of the family bible that I have, so at the moment I have no information on the two individuals you listed. If I find anything in my research...I will let you know.
