I own the following two-volume set of books:
Maury County, Tennessee Cemeteries
compiled by Fred Lee Hawkins, Jr.
pub 1989, Columbia, TN

I will do cemetery look-ups. There are no photos in these books, only interment listings of each cemetery known to exist in Maury County. These books are pretty concise as Mr. hawkins must've done quite a bit of walking to get all this information piled into these books. I purchased these books from the Maury County Historical Society (http://historicmaury.org) if anyone is interested in obtaining them yourself. The listings also include info such as "wife/husband/son/daughter of..." and other tombstone transcriptions, which I will include in your look-up if it's listed.

Here's what I will need from you in order to do a look-up:

1. Only up to 4 queries per person, please. After I have responded, you may ask for up to 4 more and so on. I just don't want one person taking up all my time if there are others needing info too.

2. Surname and given name, please. I don't want to be on a wild goose chase for all Smiths buried in Maury Co, you know what I'm saying?

3. Be sure your ancestor is buried in Maury County, TN before I go looking for someone who may or may not be buried in this county.

4. Any and all info pertaining to cemetery name and/or town area of loaction, etc. would be helpful for me in your look-up as these books are a total of 865 pages. Yes, there is an index, but asking for a name like Johnson or Williams may take me a bit of time if I don't know anything else about the person, like what cemetery, town area, etc. Also, if you have several John Smiths buried in Maury County, please try to give me a birth/death date of the one(s) you want.

5. Please be patient if I do not get back to you in a day. I'm sure once people read this message, there will be several people wanting look-ups. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and I like to spend time with my family too--Hee hee!

One last note...If you're looking up a McNabb or Hicks person, HELLO COUSIN! The reason I purchased these books was to do my own McNabb and Hicks family research.

Hello, my name is Rhodene and I am trying to find the cemetery listing for Andrew Caradine. He was born about 1775 in SC and died about 1836. I don't know if it would be Maury or Madison co. TN. Marriage records for the children are in Maury Co, but his will is in Madison Co. Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm sorry, but there are no CARADINE or alternate spellings of any kind in the interment index of the books. You may have to try Madison Co. or another neighboring county. Sorry I couldn't help.

Looking for gravesite of Elizabeth Mary Paralee Hardison Stewart, {Have seen name listed as Elizabeth M. A. P. Hardison Stewart} She was the daughter of Thomas B Hardison and Mary Byrd Wilson. She married to William Othenile Stewart in Marshall County, TN. She died around 1860-1863. She may be in cemetery along with the Hardison Family members. William Othenile Stewart remarry in on 4 Dec 1863 to Martha T Dark. and William and Elizabeth M.A. P. Hardison younest son {James Anderson Stewart b 12 Dec 1860 My great great grandfather}
I have the Marshall Co Cemetery Book by Marsh & Whitesell
Can find No listing for her. Will do lookup for Marshall co if you need them. Their are some Hicks in my file and also buried at Bethbirei Cemetery in Marshall Co.

Whew! That took me a while! There's nearly 50 pages of Hardison and over 20 pages of Stewart names!

Okay, I did not find ANY of these people you are looking for. There were, however, names like Elizabeth A. Stewart (but with dif. husband), Thomas P. Hardison with a Mary A. Hardison, and a few other off-names like that. But none of yours. You know, there are actually 8 cemeteries in Maury Co., TN named Hardison Cemetery? Sorry I couldn't find who you were looking for. I looked for all the names you have mentioned too.

Thanks for your help... She must be in unmarked grave. I dont think she would be in any other counties but Marshall or Maury Counties.
