Am looking for information on my great grandfather Fritz LARTZ. He came from Germany in 1867 with his sister Caroline and parents Christian and Sophie LARTZ and settled in Milwaukee. Fritz married Elizabeth Bloxham (from England) and they had a son William Henry. Christian and Sophie moved to Vernon in Waukesha County and died there in the late 1800's. I have no information as to what happened to Fritz or Elizabeth. The name was originally spelled Laartz.

There's no occurrence of Lartz, Laertz or Laartz indexed from the local German newspapers in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).

There may be entries for the name in an index of the Waukesha Freeman at the Waukesha Public Library.
