Mrs. Ida Brown, Wayland, Funeral service for Mrs. Ida Brown, 74, widow of William E. Brown, who died Monday (30 Oct 1939) will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Archer funeral home with burial in the Hooker Cemetery, Leighton township. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Jeffers and and was born Feb. 16, 1882 in Leighton township. She leaves two two sons, Ray E. Brown, of Nashville and R. There is something wrong with the information that you have posted here.

If Ida Brown was 74 years old when she died in 1939 .....
Then she was born in 1865 ... not 1882 as you have listed here.

This obituary was copied verbatim and the type is easy to read. Something is amiss from the obituary and it appears to be the DOB, however the obituary does state Feb. 16, 1882 in Leighton Twp. The date of the newspaper is written in pencil as 30 Oct 1939. This obituary could certain lead a researcher astray. Thanks for the facts.
