I have I believe he's a great great Uncle Ted (Theodore) Vannebo that was married to an Elsie M Rau. I don't have much information on her.

Is it possible there is a connection.

The Vannebo family does have an early connection to Camrose though Ted was born in Bellingham, Washington. I know there are Vannebo's I'm related to in LA but haven;t quite figured out who they are yet.

I BELIVE if my info is correct Elsie passed away in Jan of 1995. She and Ted had been divorced for several years.

I met Ted in the late 70's but I never got the chance to meet Elsie.

Would appreciate any information you may have if there's a possible connection.

Are You related to Elsie or the Vannebo's?

I am a friend of Ted Vannebo, in fact, I just spoke to him. He would love to know who you are as he is very interested in family members. He asked me to contact you. He lives in Tonasket, Washington and is a close friend of my Mother.

Thanks, Chris

Chris,

Uncle Ted knows me - my name is beverly - i'm the daughter of his neice Audrey - but i haven't spoke to him since mom passed away in May of 2001. i'm not sure if i even called him when when my younger sister passed away in Jan. '03.

i'm working on the family tree and i believe Uncle Ted had some info he was gathering for mom. he mentioned in a card to me he'd pass it on when he had it all together so i've been meaning to contact him but just haven't got around to it.

i'm working on translating some papers my cousin Paul sent me - a lot are in Norwegian so i'm learning as i go.

i'm still livinhg at the same address as the last time Uncle Ted wrote me when mom died.

do you want to take this into email?

If you are still out there here is the latest and most sad information on Theodore Vannebo, "Uncle Ted". I'm his nephew James from Longview, WA I came to Wenatchee, WA today 8-21-2010 to go see him, missed talking to him the night before and I got the worst info today at 6:00 PM when trying to contact him through his girlfriend. This morning he was transported to Wenatchee and put on Life Support. Things are not good. I will miss the Norwegian Yankee. He was an awesome man.

Thank you, James. Ted's girlfriend is my Mother. I am very aware of what has been happening with Ted. No, this does not sound good. This has happened before and he, somehow, made it.

Chris,

I was with your Mom today when Ted passed she is going to need a lot of help. I told her to call me if she needs. This chain of events is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me. Ted has gone to a much better place. I can't believe I missed him by 24 hours.

Hi,

I'm sorry I'm not sure whom I am talking to. I think from Teds girlfriend I talking today that you might be Bev.

Ted and his girlfriend got up Saturday morning and were sitting around and she was on the phone. When she got done she looked over and Ted was sitting there crumpled over. She called 911 right away but he was out for up to 30 minutes. They got his heart beating and transfered him to the hospital in Wenatchee where I was staying until going up to see him on Sunday, today. Well that didn't pan out, I missed seeing him by about 24 hours. Unable to contact him at his house all day I finally contacted his girlfriend of 26 years around 6 in the evening and she told me of the days events. He was admitted into critical care on life support and things did not sound good. My youngest boy and I went to see him around 8:30 last night. It was very sad to see him in that condition. I spoke with the nurses and things were bad. I spoke with his niece in Edmonton and we made plans to talk today on his conditions while I was at the hospital. Ted passed today at 11:40 AM. If you want to chat more I am James Froberg from Longview, WA. My dad Jim Froberg who was Teds brother died back in 1983 I believe. My email is truefro@msn.com if you need to chat more.

James, Thank you so much for being there with my Mother. I just spoke with her and she seems to be coping with it all. The master plan is for her to come and stay here with me in North Carolina for the winter or as long as she wants.

So sorry that you missed Ted. You probably didn't know that he had been having problems for the past few months.

Is it ok to use your e-mail address instead of going thru this website?

Best regards,
Chris
