All I have are approx. dates fr my gm's obit. My John is supposed to have been b. abt 1871 in TN, md. date unk, to MInnie Eakle/Eagle, son Sam b. 1895-1891, Macon Co, TN(don't know if only child). John md. my gm Nancy, 1918, TN. John d. abt 1933 (in TN?). Found my John on 1920 TN Smith Co Fed Census w/my gm, her 3 children by 1st marriage, and a John R Coulter, 2 6/12 yr old, John's son by Minnie (?). Story goes John was married abt 8 times to 7 diff women, also after he & gm divorced, he returned to TN fr IL had another family, naming children after family in IL.

My John was born about 1848. Can not prove yet but think it might have been East Tennessee. Your John sounds like a uncle of my John--he married 8 times. I was lucky to find all eight wives and children the two wives. The other ones never had children. It was exciting journey to find all of this information.Thanks for answering me.
