My Grandmother Ella Nissen was told that the Hunters were related to the Stuarts who were Kings of Scotland and England. There also may be a relation to John Knox. Is there anyway to prove this????

My William (b: 1790) had a son James (b: 1817) who had a son named William. This William was born in 1859. He was a twin to his sister Elizabeth. He died at the age of 23 from "Lung Fever." As far as I know he never married and never had children.

Surnames: Hunter
I have a Hunter connection to Robert the Bruce, Malcolm Canmore (King) and King Alfred the Great. The connection stems from John Hunter b 1810 and Marion Sneddon b 1807, and actually then traces the Sneddons then White, Short, Bruce, Stewart then to Bruce again for the connection the Robert the Bruce.

Did your William have a brother named Johnson C Hunter ? We are trying to locate his parents. Johnson lived in pickaway then moved to MO and onto Texas. Johnson was born in 1787.
