Does anyone know if Oporto Portugal still exists by that name or if there's been a name change. My ggg-grandfather was from there. Appreciate any insight.

Yes Oporto or Port in English is a large city in northern Portugal where port wine is from. If you would like to know more about the city itself you can do a search on the web for it under either name and will find lots of info on it. Good luck.

Oporto is the English way to call the second city of Portugal, in portuguese it is called simply: "Porto".

Anything you need, just tell, I'm from Porto - Portugal

Was looken at some of the info on the city and was trying to figure out what would be the full way to put it for Genealogy purposes. Would the correct way be Porto, District of Porto, Grande Porto, Norte, Portugal, or how would you list it since your from their :) Thanks.
