I am the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Augustine La Franc Boinard and Peter Boinard...granddaughter of their daughter, Mrs. Marie Gean Boinard Beaufford aka Mrs. Henry Beaufford and Henry Beaufford...daughter of their youngest daughter, Dorothy Marie Beaufford Davis and Freddie L. Davis of Irving, Texas.
The correct spelling of their last name was BOINARD. I have a copy of their marriage license dated January 7th, 1888, signed by Peter Boinard, Mrs. Augustine La Franc, and the County Clerk of Dallas County, W. M. C. Hill. Their name is also spelled correctly in the parish records of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Irving, Texas and on page 43 of a book titled, "Irving...A Texas Odyssey", Pub. 1989, by Joseph Rice.
Their name, although Americanized to be pronounced "Bernard" here was actually pronounced "Bar-no" in their native France.
I have a number of documents from research my mother, Dorothy Marie Davis, did during her lifetime. My mother is buried in the same Beaufford family section in The Old Kit Cemetery of Oak Grove cemetery on Irving Blvd. in Irving, Texas as my Beaufford grandparents and my Boinard great-grandparents and some of my mother's siblings.
If someone in our family is searching for family records, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com
but, please do not change the correct spelling of Peter and Augustine Boinard's name again. In fact, please change it back to the correct spelling. Thank you. Nancy Catherine Davis Curtis
