I just found your message on the family history site. I have a g-gmother, Boehm, born in Berlin (Oct 27, 1839). I am looking for more information about her family. Is your Boehm relative from Berlin?

Thank you for your help.

My g-grandfather was Johan Freidrich, Wm, G, Boehm.
Born in Germany and died in Michigan near Detroit. 1835-1919
His son John Samuel Bahm 1877-1959 lived most of his life in Detroit.
Johan married Aguste F. Mavis Mewes. His fathers name was Godfrey.
Any information you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks Elaine

My BOEHMs are from Ellenwagen, Nuenheim, Wurtemburg, Germany. My direct ancestor is Frank (Franz) BOEHM, b. February 22, 1863. he came over to America on the DONAU from Bremen and sailed into New York on Sept. 25, 1880 and came to Pittsburgh, PA where relatives were. They started the BOEHM Noodle Co. He married Mary Magdalena Singler of Etna, PA and had 10 children. He died May 31, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Pittsburgh BOEHMs I am looking for are Wendelin (Sr.) and John -- these are the brothers that started the noodle company, which split into 2 separate companies-- and Veronica who married Leonard RAUWOLF. Wendelin married a Margaret (maiden name unknown).

Looking for any connections.

Sorry don't find a connection here. Maybe in the old country there may have been a connection.

Wendelin was my great grandfather. He was one of the brothers who owned the Boehm Noodle Company in Bloomfield. My grandfather, Cornelius, was his son. "Corny" had three sons: Frederick (my father); Robert, who died at age 3; and Cornelius Jr. who still lives in Bloomfield. My grandfather passed away about 6 years ago. I was born in 1953 at West Penn Hospital and don't remember visiting the Noodle Company when I was a child. Although my grandparents lived right around the corner from it, my grandfather was estranged from most of the family (he married a Lutheran-- he was catholic). My grandfather was married to Katherine Vogel. Please let me know what else you have learned. Thanks.

Wow! I've found two of Wendelin's descendants within days of each other! Please, I would love to share info with you! I'm looking for for more info on the Boehm Family. I don't have much information on this family. My grandfather, Walter A. Boehm is the grandson of Frank Boehm, who was a cousin/uncle (the relationship is not clear...depends on who told the story). Please email me at Longwind@aol.com.
