My great grandparents Patrick Carragher and Mary Duffy came to the New York from I believe County Cork approx. 1875. My grandfather was Patrick Jr. born in 1889 and my grandmother, Catherine Martin Carragher who had sisters Agnes and Loretta. Other brothers of Patrick Jr. were John and William. Sister was Fanny, married to Louis Ong. My grandfather had a cousin Rose Carragher. My parents were Patrick Carragher, III and Helen Leone. Everyone listed including me were born and/or lived in Manhattan. I'd like to know of anyone related to me. Please contact me at the above e-mail address. Thanks

Do you know if Agnes is still alive and if not did she die prior to 1955? Did your grandfather, Patrick Jr. ever reside in Ontario?

My great-uncle, Patick Carragher, had a sister Kathleen. Patrick died in 1935 in Detroit and Kathleen died after 1955 sometime. Their parents were Arthur and Mary who left Ireland completely destitute, the story goes. These Carraghers settled in Ravenswood, Ontario, Canada. Do you see any possible connection?

Hi, Andrew. My great-grandfather was James O'Carragher from County Louth and married Mary Payne. Somewhere along the way the "O" was dropped from the last name. What information do you have?

Would love to hear from you and share notes.
