I have a James Gault Dalglish married Mary Kennedy Oct. 2 1865. She was born and raised in Nepean Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada. In trying to find out who he was I came across a couple of Dalglishs in the Carleton Township area, one James (I'm sure) who was a merchant. I wasn't sure if he was my James Gault or another James, but you could check that area out. I'm still working on it, but have to head to Nepean for any more info.
