My husband's grandmother was a Falgout. Her name was Maria Alicia Falgout. She had two sisters, Maria Luisa Falgout and Maria Inez Falgout. She also had three brothers, Adrian, Emilio and Charles. Her parents were Charles Falgout and Librado Alegria. Maria Alicia Falgout married Ernest James Merkling in 1910. If you have any information I'd appreciate it. Thanks

My name is McKaela Keller, and I'm a 17 year old from south Louisiana...Keller is not my original surname. I was adopted by my stepfater when I was six. My mother's maiden name, and my original surname, was Falgout. I have very little information on my family, and would like to garner some before I move away for college. If anyone would care to enlighten me on who I might be related to, I would be eternally grateful.

Thank you.

I am also looking for my roots. My father was Del Loyd Falgout, he died in 1968. His father was Omar Falgout and his wife was a Landry. I believe that Del had a brother, Oscar.
If anyone has any info, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am awaiting information that may be of some help but all I can tell you at this time is that my Great Granfather was Omar Falgout and his wife was Alice Landry. My grandfather, whom I never met was Oscar Falgout and his wife was Doris Church with whom he had three children Loyd Edward (my father), Alice and Robert. Alice is the only one of those children still living and she basically knows nothing of the family history. Doris is still alive but she has said she has given me all she knows. I am waiting to hear back from my great aunt Agnes, hopefully she can be of some help. Have you found out anything else since you posted this message last year? I would really like to see the book that Barbara Allen has done, but I can't seem to get my hands on a copy yet. I would really like to find out the names of Omars father and mother and Alice Landrys father and mother.
