I've been looking for relatives outside of Beaumont and Houston. Hi, Aunt Betty. My grandfather was also Albert Hockless, Sr. As far as asking my father about his background, I've never gotten past my grandfather. I'don't know how much this matters in helping everyone out finding answers, but Everyone in the Hockless family that i know is African-American and lives in or is from Texas or Louisiana.

I'm your cousin Perry, my grand father Lawrence Henry Hockless, is your grand father's uncle. I live in Corpus Christi, Texas. We also have addtional relatives whom I've had the pleasure of meeting during my Navy career that live in California as well. In city's such as Rialto, Los Angeles, Pamona and we are also in North Carolina. Our family name comes from Germany in which our forefathers were share coppers, and your information is right we started out in Opelouses, LA. the Davis/ Hockless family is how my side got started and with a little time I can put you in contact with my grand mother who can fill you in a great deal about your side of the Hockless family. I can be contacted at
