I am looking for information concerning Jacob
Nace and his wife Susan Spencer Nace who were
the parents of Sarah Ellen Nace born May 19, 1846
in Wilkes Barre, Pa, and Joseph Jackson Nace
who was born in 1834 in Washington County, PA.
Any information about this Nace family would
be most appreciated.

I have been in contact with a gentleman whos grandparents were Jacob and Suzannah (aka Susan). I got Jacob's Civil War Record at the National Archives thinking he was my Jacob. I found his name on Ancestry.com and contacted him. You might be able to establish a link with him. Please e-mail me for his information.

I'm sorry. I spelled it wrong. (my Nase family spells it that way.) Also, Susan was his great great grandmother. His great grandmother was Sarah Ellen. He is also in touch with Joseph Jackson. Susan is buried in Princeville Cemetary is Princeville, IL. My e-mail is kmhalliday@yahoo.com.

My father-in law was Joseph A. Nace from Easthampton, Mass. He had 3 brothers, Walter, Stanley, and Peter. In 1963 Joe ,my son, David, & I took a road trip to Scanton/Wilkes-Barre Pa to visit all his relatives there. I was only 20 yo and didn't really care, so I never remembered who they all were. There was a big mining catastrophe that was on the news at the time and the food was good, that's all I remember! The only living member of the Mass Nace's that I know of are Joseph's daughter Marie Nace S.P in Holoke, Hampden, Mass..and my 2 sons, David A & Michael A. Nace The original spelling of Nace was "Niesczezewski'
