My memories of her were of a warm, kind, understanding, hard working human being. She was hired as my custodian back in the 50's. Then sixty with a circulation problem in one leg, she had the energy of a youngster. I have always regretted not revisiting her with this commentary and my love before she passed on.

Hi Bob,
Sounds like Mary Pierro was very special to you. Do you know anything about her family? Was Pierro her married name?? I am still searching for my Pierro family roots. Do you have access to her death certificate. It may have the names of her parents, where she was born and/or who her spouse was. Hope to hear from you!

Mary Pierro was indeed special. Too bad it takes so long to realize the things we should have, years ago. Having just checked on Mary, I found her death certificate. She was a Lynn, Massachusetts woman. When she cared for me, I was youngster, so I didn't know anything about her family, only that she had one. I'll be pleased to furnish any other information within my memory.

Thanks, Bob, for your reply.
I would be especially interested in Mary's parents' names and where they and/or Mary was born. My Great-grandprents had at least 5 children. I have information on Antonio, Felecia and Josephine. I am searching for Stella(F) and Andrea(M). I have no clue as to their ages. I only know that Antonio (B:10-26-1882),Josephine (B: 8-30-1886) and Felecia (B:5-27-1892)were born in Salerno, Italy. Any info/connections will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Beverly (BevNoland@cs.com in Tenn)

Beverly,

Because you asked, I did some research. Mary was born on 13 December 1890 and died in September 1974. Her SS # is 026-18-7762. Reflecting back, I recall her mention of a sister. If I'm correct, the sister lived in New Hampshire. Since we lived in a suburb of Lynn, Massachusetts called Swampscott, I did a search on 411 Locate. There are 41 Pierro's listed in Massachusetts, many in Lynn and Swampscott. I called several but got no answers. Beverly, if I were you, I'd follow- through by telephone. The living must have some recollection of their ancestors.

Thanks, Bob, for your info, research and tips! I will be doing lots of follow up work for the next few days!!! I will also try to get the info on Mary's SSAN application. It may list parents' names! Thanks, again! Bev

Hi Bob,
Thanks you for the offer. I would very much like to have a copy of Mary's photo. I am still looking for the 2 siblings of my grandmother, Felecia Pierro Florio. The 2 siblings are Andrea Pierro and Stella Pierro. I have information about the other two siblings, Antonio and Josephine. Is Pierro Mary's married name? Do you have any information about Mary's husband's family? I remember reading your remarks about Mary. She must have been quite a wonderful woman.
Thanks,
Beverly
