I had tried, without luck, to find my grandparents genelogy. They were Pistorio's. From what I understand there were 3 brothers who came over from Sicily. One settled in NY , one in Baltimore, Md (my g-grandfather)and I do not recall where the other brother settled. My g-grandfather's wife was Mary and they had 4 children, Anthony, Marie, Rose and Minnie (I do not remember what my grandmother (Minnie) was in Italian. All children lived in the Baltimore area. My g-grandfather's name was Joseph.

My grandfather's name was Joseph Pistorio and he married his cousin Angela Pistorio. My grandfather was in World War I. He came to America and married my grandmother who lived here. After 11 years they married. My grandfather had brothers and sisters. Some of their names were Sam, Angie, Massy...They all lived in the Baltimore area. Joe and Angela, my grandparents had 2 children, Sonto- he died very young at age 33 from cancer and my mom is still alive, Mary Rose, born in 1935. So there are more than 3 they came here.

Hello - this is a response to tmiddleton63's post.

I may be a relative of yours. My great grandmother's name was Maizie Pistorio - she may be the "Massy" you refer to. I know she had siblings Sam, Angie, Jennie and Dominic. They lived in Baltimore. Uncle Sam was a successful builder/real estate investor. I have found some documents that I believe refer to my great grandmother's family (the 1910, 1920 and 1930 Census, as well as a NY passenger list). Those documents mention other children as well - Francesco, Santo, Josephina and Carrie. The only Joseph I see is the son of Jennie, so perhaps we are not referring to the same family.

They were all from Sicily, which I knew already, but according to the passenger list they are from Serradifalco, Sicily. The parents' names are Agostino and Maria. Maizie married Joe Vassallo and had Anna (my grandmother) and Mary.

Let me know if this sounds familiar to you and good luck with your search.
