Do you know where your Incarnation was from? Have you thought about Nacogdoches? There was an Incarnation on some of the earlier census from Nacogdoches. I have a Jose Procella found there and then disappeared. His son Benigne then appeared in Natchitoches La (1831)marriage. I want to believe that my bunch were in No Mans Land or the Neutral Territory. You can e-mail to We had a genealogist get us started.

Surnames: Goings Drake Padier Procella
My name is Barbara and my ggg-grandfather was Antoine Padier...the name has been spelled also "Paddy, Pady, Padia and Paddieo"....He married Sharafine Drake in Louisiana sometime in the 1800s...then they went to Texas..and were on the 1850 Limestone County census as Padia and Padier...race column had a small "Z" as they were Indians and not citizens of U.S.
I have found one other Padier and his name was Benansua Padier, and he married Markeet Procella in 1856 in Sabine Parish....I am trying to find anyone, Padier or Procella that knows a Padier...there were a few Pady or Paddia living right amongst many many Procellas in 1850 Sabine Parish census...Please help casue we have been looking for Antoine's parents, siblings, relatives for a loooong time...Antoine was a Choctaw, as were the Goins...
Anything, even suggestions, will be welcome...
Please email me at
Thank you,

The Paddie/Padia name is most likely a changed spelling of the Spanish name Padilla (pronounced pah-dee-ya). The double L in spanish takes on the y sound. Perhaps yours is also from this line.

Antone Padier married Evaline Goins not Saraphina Drake. Saraphina Drake was married to Jerimiah Goins. However the Goins and the Padiers did marry. My great grandmotehr Elizabeth Goins Paddy and her husband Sam Seaborn Paddy/Padier share the same relatives. I believe her grandparents are her husbands great grandparents. I am searching for Antone's parents. If you have any info email me at
