Hi, my name is Shelley Swinton, I believe that Mary was also my Great, Great Grandmother. The information that I have is as follows. Mary was the daughter of Darius and Mary(Smith)Myrick both of Bridport, Addsion, Vt. She married Robert Walker Swinton son of James and Laura(Cone Jones) Swinton on 9/23/1857. I have seen only one picture of Mary and I was told she was from the Iroquois tribe.

Was seaching the web and came across Ancestry .com. I have always wanted to know more about the swinton's especially since I was not raised with my father. His name is Joseph Swinton and I believe he was born in North Carolina. He lived in Harlem, Ny for sometime and I would be interested in any thing about him or any other relatives I may have here or in any other part of the country.I can be reached at my e-mail address maswinton@hotmail.com. Thank you

Fran,
I am also descended from Robert and Mary. I have only a little on Maud. She was born Maud Vina 15 Oct 1877. Her first husband was a Sterling and she was married more than once. Since she is not a direct ancestor I have not done a great deal of searching on her. However, I have scrapbooks belonging to another of Robert and Mary's children and will go through them again for info on Maud.I will let you know if I find anything.

I believe that Robert's grandparents were David and Polly Swinton but have not been able to prove that and have no proof of Polly's maiden name. Do you have anything on this? I look forward to hearing from you.

My email is drl73@hotmail.com

I have info you might be interested in on my website. Start here:
http://www.hondabeat.com/tree/swinton/leon.htm - this was my fiance's grandfather. Leon Swinton's father was Lucius Swinton, son of Henry Swinton, son of James Swinton. James had another son Robert who's daughter Maude is the start of this conversation. Please email me for more info or check the website - what I know is there! Thanks for the new links :-)
