My aunt, Mary Camerata, was married to John Todaro who died in 1955 in NY. Any chance your Todaro is related to mine?

When I was a little girl, I remember my mother telling me that my grandmother Marietta (Mary)traveled to New York to visit her brother John. That had to be in 1928 or a few years after. They were lliving in Jamestown, New York. My grandmother came from Marionapoli/Villalba, Sicily to US in 1897.

Just read your post about your grandmother Marietta (Mary) who went to visit her brother John in NY. Was Mary's married name Todaro? Was her husband's name John? Do you know if her maiden name was CAMERATA? If so, this would be my father's sister. He would be the brother she visited in NY. Let me know if there is a connection.

In response to my inquiry of my grandmother Marietta Todaro visiting her brother John in Brooklyn NY. The visit had to have taken place in 1928. My grandmother married her first cousin Giuseppe (Joseph), his father was Antonino andhis mother,my ggrandmother was Maria Anna Cammarata and they were in Vallelunga, Sicily she died in Marionapoli. My grandmother Marietta's, father was Gandolfo and wife's name was Rosa Mule. Antonino and Gandolfo were brothers and all lived in the center of Sicily. Gandolfo and Antonino had one sister, Loretta who married Phillip Lombardo she was born in 1841 and died in 1897. I have much much more on the Todaro's in Center of Sicily and the Gaetano Todaro family in Tortorici, Sicily

Was your grandmother's maiden name Todaro or Camerata (any spelling)--?? My aunt's maiden name was Camerata; she married a Todaro. I cannot tell from your message if this could be the same person.

My grandmother was Agatina Todaro from Sicily. She had a brother named Giuseppe. They came to the US in the early 1900 and were in the Upper Peninsula of MI for awhile. My grandmother married a Fracesco Micalizzi in Sicily.
