Does anyone know if it is possible to receive records of soldiers in a particular regiment that fought in world war one? I have a relative who was in WW1 and died in an Austrian prisoner of war camp, but the only problem is we don't know his name. All we know is that he fought in the 84th Regiment during WW1.

If anyone knows how to get a hold of some records, or anything that might help it would be greatly appreciated!

The regiment you are looking for is the 84th "Venice". You can try to write here:

Ministero della Difesa
Commissariato Generale Onoranze Caduti in Guerra
Via XX Settembre, 123/a
00187 – ROMA (ITALY)

In your letter write as more info as you can about your relative.
