Peter and Mary immigrated to the United States about 1880-1881 to the Detroit area. Mary's siblings were Walter, Andrew, and Gertrude.

I am starting to research the Wilczewski branch of my family and would welcome the possibility of sharing information. I believe my great-grandparents Lawrence Wilczeski and Brygida (Gatza) Wilczewski were from Przysiersk, near Drzycim in Powiat Swiecie, born approximately 1860. They subsequently settled in Chicago and I have names of several children (Frances, John, Apollonia--my grandmother, Joseph, and Valeria). Also, Lawrence had at least one brother Francizek, and one sister Maryanna. Anyway, please get in touch if you'd like to compare notes or resources.

Hello:
I just started a family search. The above names were my grandparents who settled in Washington State. Michalina went by Lena. They had children: Joseph, Tony, John, Frances, Pauline, Emily and maybe others. Both grandparents were born around 1871. Can you help?

Hi, depending on where your grandparents lived before settling in Washington State, I may be able to help in light of records I have on hand. Or I may be able to connect you with other folks researching the Wilczewski surname. As far as I know, my family line with this surname is centered in Chicago, and I have not yet firmly established where they were from in Poland, although Swiecie seems likely given some references in documents. Anyway, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you!

I might have a link for you. Here's what I have...

Franciszek Jarosz or Yarosz was born in 1882 in Poland and died in 1942 in Cleveland, OH. He married Katarzyna (Kathiren) Francis Dzioba, daughter of Joseph Dzioba and Angeline Symanski. She was born April 5, 1882 in Polish Russia and died in 1969 in Cleveland Ohio. I have most of Katarzyna's information form her Social Security Application. I can mail you a copy if you want.

Franciszek and Katarzyna are both bured in Calvery Cemetary in Cleveland, Ohio (I do not believe they are buried next to each other)

Their son Joseph Thomas was born Feb 8, 1899 in Poland and died March 2, 1950. He married Katherine Jakielewska. She was born in 1903 and died in 1941.

They had 10 children - Edward, Julian, Floydk, Georgianne, Joseph, Chester, Leo, Theresa, Bronislous and Robert. Julian was my husban's grandfather. We believe Joseph moved the family from Waterbury, CT around 1920 as Edward and Julian were both born in CT and the rest in Cleveland.

We keep in touch with the great uncles.. Uncle Chester died last week and that only leaves three of the 10 still living. I have more of a tree if you have a link but I do not go back any further...I just got started on this tree this summer.

I know that Katarzyna Dzioba had siblings but don't know any more than that.

Let me know if we have a link.

I wasn't sure if this would be of any help for you. I ran into your surname of Zajdel while doing some lookups in the Cleveland Public Necrology file. You might want to check it out... I don't have the exact web address but think it might be cpl.org. Good luck...My Jarosz line is also from Cleveland via Connecticut... see my posting in response to the original post here on Jarosz/Dzioba
