Rosa Horton Farris and Joseph Proctor Farris

These are my great-great grandparents from Gillisonville, Jasper Co, SC. My great grandmother was their daughter Pearl Mabel Farris Worthington.
I have been unable to find death information for Rosa or anything solid on who her parents were.
Joseph Farris was the son of Benjamin Farris and grandson of James. James apparently had 3 wives so I have been unable to prove who Benjamin's mother was.
Any information on these Horton's or Farris' would be appreciated!

Oh wonderful. Do you have any census or other source information for this? I have those names as well but no proof.

There is a death certificate you can find on familysearch.org for a "Mrs. A. L. Horton" daughter of John Horton and Sarah Tuten. I am a descendent of Sarah's brother, and have been looking at this for another "cousin". Is it possible that this Mrs. Horton is Rosa. It lists her parents as I mentioned, but also a birthdate of 11 Oct 1860, and a death date of 6 Nov 1942.

Thank you for this information. I don't think it's my Rosa though. The dates don't match up and her husband's name was Joseph Proctor Farris. But it will fill in gaps about one of Rosa's siblings, I'm sure. I don't have much on any of them but Phoebe Elizabeth Horton. Do you know if there is a marriage record out there for Sarah and John or any proof of birth of any of their children?

I do not have a marriage record, although several trees have posted 1847. Although a birth record may exist somewhere, I do not know of one. I know of death certificates for sisters Phoebe E Horton Phillips, "Mrs. A.L. Horton", and Candace Horton. All three death certificates list their parents as John Horton and Sarah Tuten being born in South Carolina. In the 1900 Census, I believe Candace is listed as "Kansas". During that same census, Sarah is listed as having "8" children

But I have not been able to find any infomation on Joseph Proctor or Robert Proctor they were born in the 1870's and 1880's.
