Could they be related to the my Marie Dorothea Heinz, Heins Meyer who came from Hannover , Saxony area? My grandfathers birth cerificate in 1881 says Nahrendorph- Hannover. I think she was born 1851. and her parents were Johan Heinrich Heinz and mother Anna Maria Henke. any thing about Heinz would help? They came to Us. and settled in Churdan, Ia and some later went to Chicago or coal mines in Ill=Gillispie. would it help to look at the first names of the 2nd and third born children for names. Heinrich.,wiliam, August, Otto, Fredrick, etc.

To Melinda,

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not the Mildred Heinz that you're looking for. My maiden name was Sargenti. Good luck with your search.

My Grandmother was Grace Heinz, whose father and mother were Henry Heinz ( a brewmeister) and Carrie Hirsch. My Mother is 80 and has knowledge of the family. Robert, Graces brother died about a year ago. She would like to know if you have information about Gus, Henry's brother? She heard he was a shoe salesman in Chicago? Were they Jewish? Were the Hirsches Jewish? Carrie's Mother's maiden name was Love. We have a picture of Carrie and Henry and other family members.Do you know of any medical problems in the family?

Hello Becky. My granddaddy was Charles Heinz, brother to Grace and Rose who I barely remember as a young child. Saw your note from 2001 and wonder if you got any answers to questions about the Heinz or Hirsch ethnicity. Glad to learn where The Heinz family came from...Saxony, Germany and that Henry was a brewmaster! My dad was Henry Harold Heinz and was apparently named after his grandfather which I did not remember. I have very limited knowledge of the Heinz family, but my mom has some names in her Bible. Thanks. Beverly
