I posted an message on 8/25 in which I erroneously listed Ignatz and Regina Lang as my maternal great-grandparents. Though I am still looking for information regarding the Ignatz Lang family, Regina was not the name of my my maternal great-grandmother. At this time, I do not know the correct name.

Could Ignatz Lang's wife's name be Barbara Stimpl? Were they married in Landskron, Bohemia, Austria in 1849? If so, we are probably related.

My great, great Grandma was Rosalia Lang. She had a son Ignatz Lang. Rosalia was from Wisconsin near Wausau. She had eight sons and two daughters, Ignatz was one of the sons. Is this anyone you could be looking for?

I believe that my ancestor was a different Ignatz Lang. I have information that his father was Josef Lang and his mother was Erna Beran of Landskron, Bohemia, Austria. Thank you for your response.

There is an Ignatz Lang who married one of the persons in that lineage. Is that your Ignatz?

I'm interested in your mention of Josef Lang.

The one on my family tree was born around 1830. He died in Brtnice, Moravia. He was a wool weaver. He married Marie Cvatalova. They had a son Johann Lang (B. 1850 D. 1910 Moravia M. Frantiska Patkova). Those two had a son Albin Lang (B. 1880 D. 1952).

Any connection that you know of?

I don't know if there is any connection with your Lang, but I see Josef Lang lised in this post... my great grandfather's brother was M. Josef Lang. I think they were from Galatz... On ship manifest he is listed with "Cem. Gahal (Transylvania)" as address back in the old country. Let me know if there's any connection.

I am looking for Igantz (Ignatius) Lang who married a Theresa Lohmeyer in Reading, Pennsylvania. They were sponsors for my g-g-g-grandfather and his wife's marriage (they were married on the same day, and also for one of their children. Is anyone looking for for an Ignatius and Theresa?

They were a part of their lives, but not for very long and I'm curious to find where they were from and where they went. And this may be a missing piece for someone researching the Lang family!
