The David I was talking about is only about forty years old.My first husband was Oscar Guy Manchester Jr. from St.Johnsville NY.He had a nephew named David and a niece named Tina.I am researching the Manchester's for the five children we had together as he is deceased. When I saw your names I just thought I would ask.Where are you from? Have you heard of these Manchester's? What other names do you have that I might keep an eye out for?If I see this David anywhere in my research I will let you know. Juanita Booth

I am the fourth great grandson of David Manchester born 1760 and married to Elizabeth Pine from Long Island. They resided in Rensselaer Co., NY. Their children were:

1. Iram 1796 - 1871 m. (first wife) Sally LaBarnes, no children;
m. (second wife) Angeline Lawton.

Iram Manchester/Angeline Lawton children:

A. William 1829-1902 m. Julia Dimon, Warren Center, Pa.

B. David 1830-1865, moved to Jamestown, NY., then to Ohio. Very little known about his family.

C. Edwin 1832-1936 m. Sara Nichols, Jamestown, NY

D. Sally Ann 1833-1914 m. Albert Wallis, Troy, NY

E. Iram 1835-1913 m. Harriett Pendleton, Potterville, Pa., civil war vet.

F. Jeremiah 1837-1921 m. Mary Cross, Troy, NY.

G. Frances 1838-1919 m. George Whitaker, Kansas

H. Eliza Jane 1841-1931 m. Thomas Taddock, Nebraska

I. Orin 1844-1924 m. Letticia Fikes, Nebraska, civil war vet.

J. Charles Byron 1848-1930 m. Susie Clinton Webster, Kansas.

2. Welcome 1800-1846.

3. Armenia, married John Brownell, Hosick Falls, NY

4. Sidney. Believe that he was never married.

The above information came from a personal
letter written September 29, 1979 by my Uncle Frank Manchester, Mt. Upton, NY. So far I have been able to validate the resources.

My mother's mother was a Manchester. I hope this has been some help to you.
