I have just completed an update and reformatting of Shubael Seaction of the 1924 work by Jessee Seaver. I have broughtit current with my family from 1924 to date. If anyone out there is from the Shubael Line I would be happy to add their information and provide a copy of the Shubael Line portion of the 1924 work.

I am descended from Shubael Seaver (listed as Shubael "Sever" on his marker in the Roxbury burial ground at Washington and Eustis Streets). Shubael (1639-1729/30) was the son of Robert Seaver (1608-1683), the first Seaver in America. My line continues with Shubael's son Joseph (1701-1754). I would appreciate hearing about any further updates that you may have on Shubael. You can reach me at seaver@pop.uky.edu. Thanks and best wishes. Dan

If your ancester, Joseph, immigrated in 1792 then he is not a descendant of Robert Seaver/Elizabeth Ballard. However, there are several Josephs in the line and it is possible your's is one of them. If you can find his father's name I may ber able to tie it into the Line. Unfortunately, I have only part A of Jesse's work and it deals soley with the descendats of Robert's first son, Shubael. There are three other sons, Caleb, Joshua and Nathaniel and they are covered in other parts of the Genealogy.

I am descended from what would appear to be the same Joseph Seaver. My g'father, Earl Seaver, was a son of Richard Seaver, Jr. of Watertown, son of Richard Seaver, Sr.,son of William Seaver, son of Joseph. Same line?

I haven't found an Earl in the Shubael Line. However, if you could give me some dates and places (city and state) of birth it's possible I can locate your line in one of the other sons of Robert/Elizabeth line.

Your ancestors.

Which Jesse are your descended from? Jesse
Montgomery or just plain Jesse? To fine where you are in the Seaver line you need to provide more information. Surely you can find the names of your Seaver grandparents, and their dates of birth, and places of birth if possible. The same applies to your parents. I suspect you and your siblings know your parent's names and place of marriage. Or you can research it. Surely aunts and uncles will provide some information helpful to searching out your line.

George: I have contacted Spencer and he has supplied me with some info. My problem is that I can not connect to anyones' line out there. The book says that "Families Believed To Be Descendents of Robert Seaver". The book refers to Joseph Nelson and does list wife and Children (whom I already knew some) and that his father,(Name Unknown)is actually Joseph T. Seaver. My Grandfather Alton Seaver married Mary Amirault and from what I have been reading that was a no no because she was catholic. His father was Joseph Nelson Seaver who married Rebecca Hathaway. and Josephs' father was Joseph T. Seaver who married Betsey Davis. I have the children of Joseph/Rebecca but no nothing of Joseph/Betsey. The families were from the Wareham, Falmouth, Plymouth, area. and I am not sure that I am looking in the right area for Joseph T. If there is anyone who can help that would be great. All I am reading is the Seavers' from Roxbury,Dorchester and I am left with a mystery. anything will help even if it means ruling out the Robert Seaver line. Thanks, Debbie
