I am also searching for my Grandfather Findley who appears to be a brother of Daniel McDermid. I have located Nerousi on the banks of Lake Erie in an Ontario Gazetter. You appear to have more information on John and Mary than I have. I only have located them in the 1860 Census in Argyle Wisconsin and have just begun to try to follow the family. I see that Mary was listed as born in Vermont in several places. I would happily exchange information on this family with you.
