Researching Elizabeth McKelvey born 4 May 1780 in Pennsylvania. Married John Lewis 30 Dec. 1801 in PA.

Surnames: LEWIS, McKELVEY
This is all the info I have gathered on this line.

Information on this family from McKelvey-L list on 07-17-2000 from Denise at dunnd6@aol.com
Denise is John Lewis' 4th great granddaughter.
This family may have been in Guernesy County, Ohio

Information from Denise on 11-09-2000 shows
Denise shows John Lewis died in Guernesy County, Ohio.
marriage in Washington County, PA.
by 1814, the family was in Fayette County, PA, then onto Ohio County, Virginia.
All children were married in Marshall County, West Virginia. Some of the children were buried in West Alexander, Washington County, PA.

Looking for information on my great-great-great-great grandparents
Elizabeth McKelvey and John Lewis:

John Lewis (middle name Daniel? See further down in text) born 1 Mar 1775 in either Ireland or Virginia, died Apr 1843 in Kimbolton, Guernsey County, Oh.
Married 30 Dec 1801 to Elizabeth McKelvey born 04 May 1780 in Pa, died 07 Oct 1863 in
Guernsey County, Oh, buried in Buchanan Hill Cemetery (marker states "without
John").

They were the parents of eight children:
1. Matilda Lewis born 10 Nov 1803 (see below)
2. Thomas Lewis born 20 Jan 1806 married Polly Gibson
3. Elizabeth Lewis born 17 Dec 1808 married John Davis
4. Avaline Lewis born 29 Jan 1811 married William Powers
5. George Lewis born 02 Jul 1814 married 7 Dec 1837 Nancy Gibson born 24,Aug 1822
6. John Lewis born 01 Feb 1817 married Katie Swihart/Schwyhart
7. Mary Ann Lewis born 16 Mar 1820 married William Whissel
8. Samuel Lewis born 17 Apr 1823 married Nancy Hagan

My great-great-great grandparents were Matilda Lewis and Amos Terrell:

Matilda Lewis born 10 Nov 1803 in Pa or Oh, died 12 Nov 1889 in Knoxville, Marshall County, WV.
She married Amos Terrell abt 1821. He was born abt 1803 in Va and died,abt 1875 in WV.
On the 18 Jul 1850 Census of Marshall Co Va pg 245, Matilda is shown as age 46 born in PA.
On the 09 Oct 1860 Cen of Marshall Co Va pg 207, Matilda is shown as age 56 born in Oh.
On the 21 Jul 1870 Cen of Marshall Co WV pg 224, Matilda is shown as age 67 born in Oh.
She is buried in the Universalist Church Cemetery of Moundsville per the
History of Selected
Marshall County families, pgs 245-247.
Per the Register of Deaths, Marshall Co WV pg 74, she died 12 Nov 1889, in Knoxville of old age.
Information on the Register of Deaths was supplied by Levina Terrell, (Don't know who she is) and
shows Matilda's parents as "Daniel" and Elizabeth.

Matilda and Amos had 11 Children:

Eliza Terrell born abt 1826
Daniel Terrell born abt 1829
George W. Terrell born abt 1830
Angeline Terrell born abt 1832
Thomas Sherman Terrell born abt 1834
Elizabeth A. Terrell born 01 Dec 1836 (my great-great grandmother)
Eveline Terrell born abt 1838
Sarah A. Terrell born about 1840
Matilda E. Terrell born abt 1847
William H. Terrell born abt 1848
and also appearing only on the 1870 Census is Joseph Games born abt 1852
(No idea who he is,where he came from or why he is living with Matilda and Amos).

Great-great grandparents: Elizabeth A. Terrell and David Fleming Lowe
Great Grandparents: William Henry Lowe and Elizabeth Francis
Horan
Grandparents: John William Lowe and Anna Margaret Essig
Parents: Margaret Eileen Lowe and Dean Franklin
Younger
Me: Clifford Dean Younger, Sr.

Nathaniel & Rebecca Shepherd sell to Nathan Shepherd 250 acres of land.

He was married to Rebecca Lewis in 1814 in Brooke Co, VA. Rebecca Lewis was born in 1787 in MD. She died on 2 DEC 1864 in Marshall Co, WV. She was buried in Shepherd Ch, Adaline, Marshall Co, WV. She has reference number 99. pg
1844 TCR, John Lewis b 1 MAR 1775, married Elizabeth McKelvey 30 DEC 1801 PA.
She was born 4 MAY 1780 and d 7 OCT 1863. John drowned in Wills Creek, OH. This may be Rebecca's brother.

The first indication of have was in Westmoreland, PA. She was married in West Alexander, Washington, PA in 1801.First 4 children were born there also; then she moved to Uniontown, Fayette, PA. Her youngest child was born in Ohio Co. West Virginia. After her husband died in Guernsy Co. Ohio in 1843 she moved back to Marshall Co. West Virginia which was created from Ohio Co. Burried at Buchanan Hill Cemetery. Denise
