I am searching for descendants of an Isaac Tibbetts who was in Clermont Co. OH in the 1820 census. He had two boys, one of whom could have been born in 1812. Thanks.

Teresa, I suppose you mean the Isaac b. 1812 Maine in the 1860 Allen County, Kansas Territory, Census, household 360. I believe that the wife's name is Susannah, b. 1810 Ohio. The loop on the second "s" was very thin. I would judge that they had two sons, Benjamin next door and Isaac living with them, born 1835 and 1839 Indiana respectively.

Nelda,

Can't be certain about your John. My Tibbetts sources DO show a John Tibbetts born 22 MAR 1808 in probably Boothbay, Maine to Joseph Tibbetts and Sally Crommett. No other data.

Thanks for the interest.
Pat

When I said no other data, I meant about John. There is data on John's ancestors quite a way back.

Hi Patrick, may I have that data? You said you had nothing more on John, if it is the same John you are talking about. then I can tell you that he married Amey Wood in Cleremont OH Sept. 25, 1829. They had 8 children that I am aware of. Some born in IN and a couple in Illnoise. I would be happy to share if you want it. Also, do you have any info on John's wife Amey? Nelda

Nelda,

Try this web link to the very extensive work of Jill McLeester re the Tibbetts:

http://www.three-systems.com/gen/tibbetts/d0011/g0001129.htm...

I got some similar data from Kim Stevens who has been on this Board in the past.

Again, not sure this is your John.
