Looking for any records, especially John and Emeline's marriage or births and Alexander's birth. John Racy is listed on page 446 of the 1830 Chautauqua Co, N.Y. census with a wife and child of the aprox. ages of my ancestors. I believe her maiden name may have been Smith. The name has been spelled a variety of ways, but is Racy on this census page. They left N.Y. and were in Illinois during the 1860 census and then Missouri during the 1870 census. I do not know where they were in 1840, but may still have been in N.Y. as another of their sons, Washington, is listed as having been born in N.Y. abt 1841, according to one of these later census lists. Two years later another son was born in Ohio, so they were on the move west. By 1850 they may have been in Ohio or Illinois. Any clues will be greatly appreciated by myself and several other researchers who are working this line. Thanks. Liz (Racy) Tincknell
