Caleb Wright of Northampton, N.B. married Sarah Chase of Woodstock, N.B. on Jan. 29, 1822. Caleb was the son of Musco and Mary Wright, and he was born in N.B. ca. 1800. Sarah Chase was born ca. 1805 in N.B., parents unknown at this point. I have pretty much ruled out that Sarah was a child of Reuben Chase, but I am wondering if she was his grandchild. I am wondering if one of Reuben Chase's sons had a daughter named Sarah Chase, born ca. 1805?
Caleb Wright's brother, Joseph Henry Wright of Northampton, N.B., married Mary Dickinson of Woodstock, N.B. on March 15, 1824.( Both marriages of Caleb and Joseph took place in Woodstock, N.B. ) Mary Dickinson was the daughter of Tertullus Dickinson and Thankful ( a.k.a Rebekka ) Chase. Thankful Chase was the daughter of Reuben Chase.
Reuben Chase and Tertullus Dickinson were close friends and were Loyalists who came to New Brunswick, Canada from Putnam County, New York in 1783, after the Revolutionary War ended. They were neighbors in Woodstock, N.B. Tertullus married Reuben's daughter, Thankful.Their daughter, Mary Dickinson, married Joseph Henry Wright. Perhaps, Sarah Chase, descendant of Reuben Chase, married Joseph's brother, Caleb Wright?
I just need to know if perhaps one of Reuben Chase's sons had a daughter named Sarah Chase in ca. 1805? Or if anyone knows the origins of Sarah ( Chase ) Wright? If so, please e-mail me at: jmayolak@tampabay.rr.com .

My g.great grandfather was Asa Dow Chase son of Reuben Chase and Mary Brown. He was born in Northampton, NB in 1832. Reuben Chase and Mary Brown were married in 1823. I have a feeling that Sarah (Chase)Wright and Reuben Chase may have been brother and sister. I also think they may have been the children of Reuben Chase Jr. who was the brother of Rebecca Thankful(Chase) Dickinson. Reuben and Rebecca were the children of Reuben Chase Sr who landed with the Loyalist Spring fleet in 1783. Reuben Sr had land grants in Gagetown where he passed away in 1825 and Reuben Chase Jr and Tertullus Dickinson moved up the Saint John River where the received land grants first in Woodstock and later the Northampton/Southampton area. So.....we are talking about 3 generations of "Reuben's" which makes for a bit of confusion. I also know there is another Reuben Chase in the Westmorland area that has been thought to be the son of Reuben Chase SR of Gagetown but it makes much more sense that Reuben Chase of Woodstock would be the son of Reuben Sr of Gagetown given the fact that he and Tertullus Dickinson we such good friends and that Mrs Dickinson would have been his sister. Hope I haven't been too confusing with my "Reuben's"......

I am a descendant of Tertullus Dickinson and Thankful Rebecca Chase, but I would love some information regarding Reuben Chase (father of Thankful) and his ancestors. Who is Thankful's mother?

I have the Chase/Chace family way back and up to my ancestor Thankful "Rebecca" Chase who married my Tertullus Dickinson. Her parents were Reuben Chase/Chace and Elizabeth.
