Caleb Wright of Northampton, N.B. married Sarah Chase of Woodstock, N.B. on Jan. 29, 1822. Caleb was the son of Musco and Mary Wright, and he was born in N.B. ca. 1800. Sarah Chase was born ca. 1805 in N.B., parents unknown at this point. I have pretty much ruled out that Sarah was a child of Reuben Chase, but I am wondering if she was his grandchild. I am wondering if one of Reuben Chase's sons had a daughter named Sarah Chase, born ca. 1805?
Caleb Wright's brother, Joseph Henry Wright of Northampton, N.B., married Mary Dickinson of Woodstock, N.B. on March 15, 1824.( Both marriages of Caleb and Joseph took place in Woodstock, N.B. ) Mary Dickinson was the daughter of Tertullus Dickinson and Thankful ( a.k.a Rebekka ) Chase. Thankful Chase was the daughter of Reuben Chase.
Reuben Chase and Tertullus Dickinson were close friends and were Loyalists who came to New Brunswick, Canada from Putnam County, New York in 1783, after the Revolutionary War ended. They were neighbors in Woodstock, N.B. Tertullus married Reuben's daughter, Thankful.Their daughter, Mary Dickinson, married Joseph Henry Wright. Perhaps, Sarah Chase, descendant of Reuben Chase, married Joseph's brother, Caleb Wright?
I just need to know if perhaps one of Reuben Chase's sons had a daughter named Sarah Chase in ca. 1805? Or if anyone knows the origins of Sarah ( Chase ) Wright? If so, please e-mail me at:
