Hi, Helen.
I was wondering if the Danahers you have listed include the following from my father's side of the family:

According to my grandmother,

John DANAHER m. Catherine McAULIFFE; They had at least two children:

1) Elizabeth DANAHER who m. David O'CONNELL;at least one child, Johanna "Annie" O'CONNELL who m. John McFADDEN
Elizabeth also married Michael MANEY

2)Owen DANAHER, born in Feenagh (?) Parish in Co. Limerick; he married Elizabeth CARROLL, also of Ireland, in Westminster Cathedral in London, England.

Between 1862 and 1887 the couple had twelve children with the first two-- John Joseph and Patrick Joseph-- being born in London and the other ten-- William Joseph, Johanna, Edward Joseph, David, Elizabeth Margaret, Ellen "Nell", Eugene, Margaret Mary, Mary "Mamie", and Eugene-- being born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, USA.
John Joseph DANAHER, the first born son, was my
gggrandfather.

Does any of this sound familiar? Is there a parish in Limerick by the name of Feenagh? My great aunt visited Limerick almost 10 years ago and has told me that she saw Owen Danaher's baptismal record for herself in the office of a parish priest in a parish by this name.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Whalen Mason

The John (DOB 1874) and Elizabeth Danaher (DOB 1872) that I am looking for were in Connecticut USA by 1900 and were two years apart in age; Elizabeth being the elder of the two. I am wondering if these two are the children of John and Jane Danaher in Foynes.

My great great grandfather was Michael Danaher. He was said to have been born in Kilmarchree Parish, County Limerick about 1832. He died in Minnesota in Jan 1915. I do not know his parentage. I know he lived for a time in Chicago, Illinois where my great grandfather Thomas was born c 1860. His mather is said to have been Margaret Davitt (Devitt, sp?. Thomas, his son, married Hanora Fleming. Can anyone tell me anything about the Danahers of Kilmachree Parish?
