Lucille Forgy Wallace, 95 of Bowling Green, died at 3:05 am on Monday, January 5, 2008 at a Bowling Green nursing home.The Lewisburg, Kentucky native was a homemaker, a grade school teacher in South Carolina and Kentucky. She authored a book on the Forgy family history and also contributed to several books on the history of Trigg and Logan Counties.She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, majoring in elementary education and music. She was a former president of the PTA for the Western Training School. She was a member of The First Baptist Church where she was very active. She also played the piano for her Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl A. Forgy and Dora Davis Forgy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Furman Alexander Wallace and two brothers, Lawrence Forgy and J. P. Forgy.Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 7.00 pm at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Survivors include two sons, Furman Forgy Wallace, former Mayor of Hurstborune, Kentucky in Jefferson County, and his wife, Ruth Ann of Louisville, Kentucky and Robert Carroll Wallace of Franklin, Kentucky; one sister, Martha Forgy Summers of Lewisburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several nieces including Senator Alice Forgy Kerr and several nephews.
