Check out Caleb Johnson's Mayflower Web Pages
http://members.aol.com/caleb/hopkins.html

This guy is an authority on Mayflower
passengers and families.

The General Society of Mayflower
Descendants has published books on
the pasengers. I have the book on
Stephen Hopkins (through five
generations). I may be able to
help those who have New England ancestry.

I am also interested in the Hopkins that
settled in the area of Barrington, Canada.

I am interested in obtaining information about
my family. My grandfather William Frederick
Hopkins who was born in Pembrook, Massachusettes
in the late 1800's According to some family lore
he was related in some way to Stephen Hopkins
who travelled to America on the Mayflower. Whether
or not this is true I would like information about the family.

Our family had known for a long time that the Stephen Hopkins
that came over on the Mayflower was one of our ancestors on my father's side.
Some years back, my mother traced our lineage back to him.

I'd be interested in finding out more about other branches of the Hopkins family.

Hi I am searching information for a connection of Snow/Hopkins. 1850 Randolph County Alabama George W. Hopkins also found on 1840 Gwinnett County Georgia census living close to a Fountain Snow. Listed on Hopkins census 1850 is Irene, John, Irvin & Fountain. Would you happen to know anything about this line? GW Hopkins states he was born NC, Irene SC children Ala. Would like to know more about Irene.
Anything is appreciated.

Anita

Paul, sorry I do not have any information on George W. Hopkins. I only have him listed on an 1850 Randolph County, Al. census with an Irene Hopkins and three boys. He is also found earlier on Georgia census (either Gwinnette, Lumpkin or Campbell I do not remember which). I do not even know if Irene is really a Hopkins although it states wife. It states born 1800 in NC. He is not listed with Irene and the boys on the 1860 Tuscaloosa, Al. census. Apparently Irene took the boys to Tuscaloosa and placed them with the Robertson's. I am looking for that connection, especially of the child Fountain Hopkins who later calls himself Snow. Do you know of this family? Do you know who Irene is? Do you know of a connection to the Robertson's? Thank you, Anita
