I am also searching for Timothy HOgan and family. His first child was born in TN, rest of family in KY. He worked for RR in Bowling Green, KY. I have reason to believe that he had brothers or cousins named John and William

From sketchy church records, I have two William's. One married to Maria(Mary) Pendergast and one married to Helena(Helen) Murphy. The second couple had a son Timothy born 3/29/1863.Baptismal sponsors: Jacob Pendergast G. Maher. William Hogan,Sr. born 1832, died 6/11/1897.Buried at St. Joseph's.
In a book, sometime between 1859 and 1862, John, Timothy and William are listed as some of the principal Catholic residents of Bowling Green.

Thanks for the response. I don't know anything about what I am looking for except that William Hogan may have been my ggrandfather. Do you have a William m. to a Judy/Judith? Probably in the 1870's. A son was b. in 1877. Maybe with the name of Robert somewhere in his name. The son was b. in TN. I know this is confusing! We didn't know of this until recently. Just trying to make some sense of it and prove what we have been told. Thanks. My email: NBow2000@aol.com

There are a couple of Robert's. Robert E. was the son of John P. and lived in Louisville. There was Robert Irvin 12/1865-11/3/1910. Also, Robert A. died 4/30/1918 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery. I have met a lady whose husband was Robert Hogan Motley and came from the Hogan's. I am going to get with her and see if I can't sort all of this out. I know of a Julia also. She married a Thompson.

Thanks for answering. I don't think this Robert is right. My Robert was b. in 1877 in TN to Judy (Baker?) Hogan?? b. in 1849 in KY., and William? Hogan. This James Robert d. in 1953. He lived in OK at the time of his death. There might be a connection, but I don't know now. I appreciate your help. Keep me posted if you turn up anything. I am just trying to sort all this out. Thanks again.

Lisa,
I am sorry. I don't know if I am your mother's cousin. I really don't know much about the Hogans. Just trying to piece together. I only know that my grandfather's dad was supposed to be William Hogan. My grandfather's mother's name was Judy/Judith (maybe Baker or Harding was her maiden name.
Wish I could help you, but that is all I have now. I will let you know if I get anything else on this. Thanks, Nancy

What time period are you searching. My Hogan ancestors
were in TN in the 1830's and 40's before moving on to
Arkansas.
