Hi,
Does it give any place names? These names ran in my Porter family - who were from Glocestershire and Wiltshire in the UK.
I believe William Porter born December 13, 1810 may be related to my family. He had a son named David, who had a son Samuel. John, Henry, William and Thomas have been fairly consistent names over 4 or 5 generations.

No place names. All available information was copied from a Bible which was for sale at the time. Had it been less expensive, I probably would have purchased the Bible at the time. It's been a while, but if you're interested, I'll return to the store and see if the Bible is still for sale,
or you might find it by doing an online search of books available from antiquarian booksellers.

If you do go past the bookstore, I'd be grateful to know. I will check out Abebooks and see if I can find it anywhere.

Baptism records on Familysearch show the older children were baptized in Caythorpe, Lincoln, England and the younger children were baptized in Balderton, Nottingham, England. Also there is a death record for daughter Elizabeth Porter - buried 20 Nov 1809 in Caythorpe, Lincoln, England.

I believe that the Matthew Porter in this Bible was my gg grandfather, b. 2 Dec 1815; d. 23 May 1862 in NY; buried in Potsdam, NY. His baptism record (Familysearch) shows the date of 13 Dec 1815 in Balderton, Nottingham, England.
