Was living in Toronto. Was alive in 1910, went to visit his Aunt Mrs. J. Hoover, in Detroit, Michigan....found on border crossing.

He was a travelling salesman.... would like to know where he died, and if he married, etc.

Any information would be aprpeciated.

Thank you.

I have been trying to track these Steeles for you with little luck.
On 1891 census Christina is listed as widow, living Uxbridge with Lillian 19, Minnie 17, Herbert 15 and Seneca 13.
On 1901 census a Lillian Steele, b 18 July 1871 which is the same birth date as a ThomasJayKemp have given on the family tree is living with father Joseph b 1842, and a Martha Hastings.

1911 census she is still with father Joseph and he has since married to Martha.
Found border crossing for a Lillian Steele, 1920 and her contact in Canada was Mr & Mrs S E Steele of Walkerville.

Joseph's obituary may have his sons and daughters listed. I could not find a death for him or Christina.

1901 and 1911 census on www.automatedgenealogy.com
The site is down right now due to a power failure but should be up and running on Wednesday.
I didn't find him on either census but have a look.

Thank you for your help. I have the death date of his father written somewhere, and I will see if I can get an obit.

I appreciate your time and effort.

Seneca Earnest Steele was my maternal grandfather. I can give you quite a lot of information about him and his descendants, but I would appreciate information about his siblings and their families. hoggan@shaw.ca
