Hello
I am trying to find out anything about a Joseph Stamp and his family who went out from England about 1879 to Canada. In the 1880 census they were living at Shipton, Richmond & Wolfe, Quebec. Joseph was 44 & listed as a farmer. His wife was Maryann or Mary Ann.She was 42, both were born in England as were their nine children a son age 18 and eight daughters. Mary Ann was born Mary Ann Middleton at Waddingham in Lincolnshire. She was the daughter of Francis Middleton and Jane Page. Mary Ann and Joseph were married on the 15 May 1861 at Waddingham. If any one has any information about any members of this family i would be most greafull to hear about them, With thanks Mary

This family is of interest to us only because Minnie was brought up by people of interest in my data base. Therefore the data we have is limited to what we were able to find in the cemetery and the census.

I hope that this report is useful to you.

To Ken Healy.
Many thanks for the info re Joseph Stamp.
I did wonder if there were any more children after they arrived in Canada and it shows that there were. Some of the other children would only be relatively young when their parents died as the youngest one born in UK was only a year old in the 1880 census. Many thanks again. Regards Mary
