any info on the Tribble family of Halifax that moved toNC, Tenn, Ky & In

My cousins own a Farm still refered to as the Tribble place located in Halifax co Volens,Nathale area there is a cemetary there i havent been there in years if this information interest you let me know it has been owned by the Guthrie family for 60 plus years or more

Hi i am reachering the Stigalls and i see that you have a Nathan Stigall listed....would love to share some info with you...I am looking for a Nathan/Nathaniel Stigall who was born in Va but he lived in TN for awhile i do know...he was married to a lady named martha but thats about all i know about her...Hope we can help each other.

I dont have any dates for Nathan himself...however i do now that in the 1860 censes he was around 33 and that his oldest son...was born in 1858. Maybe your two are his father and grandfather...would love any info you do have...maybe you might have a piece that will tie them right together...thanks for your time....Cindy

What are the years of your "Nathan Stigall"? My husband descends from the Nathan Stigall born circa 1767. This Nathan had a son Nathaniel B. Stegall born circa 1803.
Stigall and Stegall were used in the census sometimes for the same family.

I know you are looking for information about this Nathan...however do you know anything about him like his kids and so forth. This in not the Nathan/Nathaniel im looking for...the dates are too early however though he could possably be a dad or grandfather to my Nathan.

Nathaniel B. Stigall circa 1803(Halifax County) married Mary Ann Stegall b. 1820 on 10 March 1835 (marriage bond) in Halifax County. He died in 1840. Will Book 19 p. 407. I do not have a copy of the will but you could get one by writing the Halifax County Courthouse. Maybe this might tell his children's names although they would be very young since they would have only been married for five years. The people at the courthouse are very helpful. I won't be going back until the summer so I can't help you there.
