Surnames: SCHMIDT, KRUEGER, ZANDERS, SCHULTZ, STELTER, JASTER, MARSCHNER, DRAEGER, KOVALASKE, BRAATZ, NAST, etc
My aunt, Shirley Van Buren, passed away suddenly seven years ago. She was working on our Dodge Co. family tree, and among her records (of which I now have copies) are numerous obits which do not seem to have connection to our family, and also letters from several people I don't know (no addresses given!). She knew many, many people in the Dodge Co. area and may have been collecting some of this for others. The first six surnames listed are in our tree for sure, the others are the questionable surnames, but I also have obits from people with our family names who are not relatives. Please contact me if this is familiar.

Both of the obits could possibly be ours, I know Williams in is German, but can you make out any other names listed in the obit. I believe he was my GG grandmother's brother (Alwine Pauline Mildebrandt). Could you possibly type out the one for Erwin for me. Thanks, Pam (You can send it to pam1@dotnet.com if you would rather do it that way. Thank you so much for your help.

What I have is the following:

From notes that seem to be from gravestones, Paul Stelter, Oct. 25, 1896 - 27 April, 1984.

Then, from an obit for a Mr. William Stelter in German that mentions he was a resident of Fall Creek, WI ( I believe this is Eau Claire Co.)

Then I have an obit for a Erwin Draeger of Montello, b. Jan. 30, 1913 and died Dec. 14, 1991 in St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac. Says he was born in Mecan, Marquette co.

If you would further info on either, please contact me; I'd be happy to type out either obit.

Surnames: BRAATZ, SCHULTZ
I have the following Braatz obit:

Alma Braatz

Mrs. Alma Dora Braatz, 91, a resident of 117 N. Drummond St., Waupun, died Saturday morning, Sept. 20, 1986 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Braatz was born on Feb. 9, 1895 in the Town of York, Columbia Co., Wis. She was the daughter of Ferdinand and Albatina Schultz Braatz. She was married to Arthur Braatz on Sept. 6, 1916. She resided in Waupun most of her life. She was a member of the Immauel Lutheran church, Waupun, and also a member of the Esther Circle of the Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Oct. 29, 1978, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral service will be Tues, Sept. 23, at 1:30 pm at the Kohls Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Joseph Hestenes will officiate and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus, Wis.

Friends and relatives were able to call on Mrs. Braatz at the Kohls Funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.

This was likely from the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen newspaper on 9/23/1986.

I don't know of any connection of Mrs. Braatz to my family line.

Hope it's helpful.
