This is to advise that I carefully printed out all of the e-mails that were sent to me and have been working on getting the data together for all of you. Don't despair. It is hot here in Nevada - at times 114 degrees, so things are moving a bit slower than usual, but I am getting there.

I don't have very much info. Anything
you think might be useful, please help.
My grandfather was Tommie Leo Couey, his
mother and daddy was Nobie Conner and Edd
Couey. My grandfather had 4 other sibblings.
That is about all I know.

Mary,
Some of my Couey family members from GA
moved into Ala. I have my family line all
the way back to 1767, the arrival date of
the Coueys in the American Colony of South
Carolina. If you know your Couey connections
back a couple of generations send me what you
have and I should be able to place you on
one of the branches of our Couey family tree.
[I have a list of ALL COUEY MALES FROM THE
ARRIVAL OF THE COUEY FAMILY IN SC IN 1767 up
to the mid-1800's...and of course up to the
present day in my line. I am a direct
descendant of John C. Couey sr.[my gggg GF]
[b. 1754 in Europe], father of John C.
Couey jr. and his bro. Samuel T. Couey,
[my ggg grandfather]. Allen G. Couey,[My
gg grandfather], Archibald Couey[My g GF],
Andrew J. Couey, [My grandfather], and
Floyd Millard Couey [My father].
Hope to hear from you soon. Earl F. Couey

We are obviously from the same line of Coueys. You mention your grandfather, Andrew J. Couey. My grandfather was Andres McSelland Couey, son of Jospeh, who came with the others in 1767. We may have information to share.
