Looking for any info on Benjamin Fetters. He was married to a woman named Nora. I know at least the name of one of their children-Charles Franklin Fetters. If anyone has any info, please contact me.

Hi, I've been researching the Vetter, Fetter and Fetters family. Was the Benjamin you are looking for from Stark county, Ohio? If so I have a great deal of information. Email me at donsetters1@earthlink.net.

I found your message of January 29 searching
for Charles.
I have what you need. This is all in
Chapter 8 of a three volume work on the
Fetters family.
Lets begin with James.
He is ther oldest of four kids:
James
Edward of Lancaster, CA
Virginia 1923- ) x 1940 Beryl Smith (1918- )
Harold 1931-1978) x June and then unknown

I have no children of these four. Can you
help fill in their line?

The four are the children of Charles
Franklin Fetters (1895- ) x Dolly
May Norris of Des Moines

Do you know more of this couple?
That is all I have.

Charles was the third of three kids:
Jane S Fetters (1893- ) x Lemon of
Des Moines
Francis L Fetters (1895- )
and Charles Franklin Fetters

They were children of
Benjamin F Fetters (1870- )
x 1894 Nora (1877- )

Ben was the 6th child of 8

they begin with Eva J Fetters (1851-
Margaret I Fetters (1855-
Mary Ann Fetters (1857-1936) x Oscar Bunce
( -1922)
William H Fetters (1860-1933)
James Willard Fetters (1865-1938) x Dora
Shepherd (1864-1948) Polk Co, IA
Benjamin
Charles Allen Fetters (1871-1945)
x Martha Hull (1878-1947) Warren Co, IA
Walter Willis Fetters (1878- ) x Clara Collin
then Louise Dougherty
then Mary Ellen rathbun
then Myrtle Morgan

AND these were children of
Samuel Parker fetters (1830-1915) x
1854 Esther Thompson (1833-1912) of Missouri.

This line goes back to Germany.

Sam is part of Generation 6
Ben is part of Gen 7
His brother Jim went by Willard
his brother Charlie went by Allen

Charles is Generation 8

This is a big group in Des Moines
and you have lots of cousins in the area.

My own related branch is out of
Marshalltown.

What else do you want to know.?

Thank you for replying!!! I believe I can help you out, too. Although, it does get a little complicated. Charles was born died in Des Moines, IA. He is buried in Glendale Cemetary(?). Dolly's maiden name was Norris. They divorced, she remarried had last name of Wilson.

Ooops!

Soeey about previous message. Got a little too excited, I'm afraid-lol. Anyways, Charles' middle name was Franklin. As foe James, I can most definitely help you. That's where I eventually come about-lol. James married Georgia Jones. They had 3 children.

My father-in-law was: Kollis Milton Fetters.
He left us some info, but very sketchy. It
appears that his father's relatives were from Elkhart County, IN...referred to my some as IND 15 clan. Kollis raised was born in LaPorte, IN and raised his family in Lansing, IL...his brother is still in that city. Kollis' father was: Henry Milton Fetters (used Milton), he was born in Bristol, IN, in 1874. I show his father as:
James Nathaniel Fetters, b. 1835 in Union Co.
PA. Does anything connect? Jan Fetters

in advance for a reply.

I am the person who named your family Indiana 15, which has no meaning at all except that it was the 15th independent Indiana
family that I worked up.
Send me your address and I will run a copy of the
family for you.
I had corresponded with Kolis early on, but had not heard of his passing.
I think you will enjoy the material,
but it does need some up dating
to be better.

Hi Tom,
Happy to make connection with you. Kollie's
info is helpful, but I have been trying to put it in order. He had one article which
really lead me down the wrong path, but will
allow me to help someone else. That family
came from Bedford Co., Pa. if anyone is interested, the article refers to Peter M.
Fetters, Jr. b.1806,later in Elkhart Co.,IN.
