I'm new to this site. My grandfather had a farm in the new york area. I'm in Minnesota. We have alot of Van Patten family here.

do you know where the farm is? I live in Rensselaer county and I am a Van Patten descendant. There is a lot of Van Patten history here in Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties in NY. I have been doing a lot of research and have found church records, gravestones, and even a book with details of the Van Patten line.

I see by the list of families you are related to, included the Bratt/bradt family. My ancestors include Claas Frederich VanPatten (b 30 May 1641) Putten Holland who married Effie Bratt b 1649, dau of Arent and Catalyntie (DeVos) Bradt, their daughter Deborah married 1 Apr 1700 Cornelius Viele.
