PASSENGER LIST FOR DRAYTON GRANGE AUGUST 1902

PASSENGER LIST FOR DRAYTON GRANGE AUGUST 1902

Does anyone know how I can access the passenger list for the Drayton Grange arriving in Sydney in August, 1902. It was the last troopship home to Australia from South Africa. I think my grandfather would have been on that ship.

Hugh Benedict Walls served with the Bechuanaland Rifles (Unit raised in South Africa) as at 26 September 1901 up to 30 June 1902.

The National Archives of Australia and AWM aren't able to help.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

On the http://www.bwm.org.au/site/, (Boer War Memorial site) There is a page all about my Great grandfather, with his service papers etc. Down the bottom, is "Returned to Australia 11 July 1902 on the Drayton Grange." It was a scandal with the overcrowding , disease and poor sanitation, so I doubt there would be a passenger list.
