Hi everyone,

Many of you are very likely familiar with James Whaley's 12-volume set of Onslow County transcriptions. It is a wonderful resource and I've posted the complete index to the Onslow County NCGenWeb site. You can find it online at http://ncgenweb.us/nc/onslow/onslow-county-cemetery-transcri... and it is my hope that it will make it easier to locate the information across all 12 books. Many thanks to Mr. Whaley for this great effort!

I live in Maryland and are looking for burial records at the Cavanaugh family cem. in Jacksonville, NC. Looking for a burial of Rosa Cavanaugh who died in 1931, wife of Henry S. Cavanaugh, who died in 1955. Evidently after Rosa died, he remarried to a Burnice Aman. accourding to his Death Certificate. According to his D/C, he owned a general store in Jacksonville, NC.
